Some of my clearest insights come while I am showering or preparing for bed. Tonight, while washing my face, I realized that although I am skilled at quickly grasping the idea of piece of writing or the intent and theme of a movie or the position taken by a debator, I am not skilled at taking a position or creating a theme. This is a handicap to my writing, as I rarely feel strongly enough about anything to effectively write about it.
